Online tech is the third iteration of a testing ground website hosted over the last 13 years. Initially, Online tech was an HTML testing ground known as adsyhomeonline.com back in 2004. In 2010, this was shut down and replaced with 00freebuild.info
00freebuild.info was born from the name of a Minecraft Classic server I hosted at the time. The site was initially built using Drupal as a community hub and this worked well for a while. A little later, additions such as a wiki were added and developed along with a custom built site. Since this time, most sites hosted have been custom built, until now.
Online tech uses WordPress behind the scenes as a way to get a website off the ground and to introduce the projects without the hassle of developing a site to do exactly that.
It is hoped that Online tech will eventually become more than just a project playground and become some form of project platform.
